The History of Citroën 

Citroën is a French car manufacturer with a successful history in motorsport. In 1955, 35 years after the brand was initially founded, Citroën introduced the first mass-produced car with modern disc brakes – the ground-breaking DS model. Further to this innovation, they introduced cars with swivelling headlights just 12 years later, which went on to receive many international awards, including ‘European Car of the Year’. In fact, Citroën is the only car manufacturer to have won three different official championships.

Since becoming involved in the world of rallying, Citroën have accumulated nine drivers titles and 8 constructors wins. Overall Citroën have won 97 rallies and during 2014 and in 2016 they dominated the world touring championships by winning 47 races out of a possible 69.
