A suspension top mount connects the strut or coilover assembly to the chassis. In performance use, this area sees more load than it would in a standard road setup, especially on cars running coilovers, wider tyres or modified suspension. That is why many builders move to performance suspension top mounts when setting up a car for harder use.
Adjustable Top Mounts Or Fixed Top Mounts?
Adjustable Top Mounts
The best choice depends on the build.
Our adjustable top mounts are suited to cars where suspension geometry needs to be fine tuned. They are often used on track cars, kit cars and motorsport builds where camber adjustment forms part of the setup.
Fixed Top Mounts
Fixed top mounts are a simpler option for builds where adjustment is not required. They suit applications where strength, repeatability and a straightforward fit are the main priorities.
Suspension Top Mounts For Coilovers & Kit Cars
A coilover conversion can change how loads move through the suspension, so the top strut mount needs to suit the wider setup. The same applies to kit car suspension, where standard mounting points and geometry are often different from a production road car.
For more setup control, our adjustable track rod ends and rose joints and rod ends can be used alongside top mounts as part of a wider performance suspension upgrade.
